Police arrest four for alleged Chhota Rajan link Berhampur: Gopalpur police in Ganjam district arrested four persons for their suspected underworld links and charges of extortion in the name of gangster Chhota Rajan, on Saturday.

Acting on inputs provided by the Mumbai Crime Branch, police nabbed the four suspects – T Laxminarayan Sharoff, Pradeep Choudhury, Suresh Kumar Satpathy, and Santosh Kumar Sahu.

They were arrested under section 420, 467, 468, 471, 34 of IPC r/w Section 66 (B), 66 (C) of IT Act-2000.

Police seized five China made sim boxes, mostly used by terrorists and underworld dons, from their possession.

According to police, the four made a fortune by using the sim boxes. Calls were being made from Hong Kong through this sim box exchange in Ganjam. An amount of Rs 2 crore was also demanded by the gang from a rich Mumbai-based contractor in an extortion bid in the name of dreaded gangster Chhota Rajan.
