Zomato introduces kurta uniform for women delivery partners
New Delhi: The online food delivery giant, Zomato has introduced new kurta uniform for its women delivery partners instead of the standard Zomato t-shirts as a part of their uniforms.
According to reports, the decision has come in response to feedback from numerous female employees who expressed discomfort with western-style Zomato t-shirts.
Taking to its official Instagram handle, Zomato shared a video and wrote “Starting today, Zomato women delivery partners can choose to wear a kurta.”
In the video, several Zomato delivery women can be seen trying on the new kurtas offered by the company and participating in what appeared to be a photoshoot. The video shows their gratitude and approval for the company’s thoughtful gesture.
In the video, Zomato has specified that many female delivery partners expressed discomfort with the western-style Zomato t-shirts. So the online food delivery giant gave them a choice to wear kurta.
The video has garnered thousands of views and positive reactions of netizens. Several users expressed their appreciation for the company’s “thoughtful” gesture.
