Artful Preparations Poster Competition: Apply now, winners to get Rs 10000

The National Disaster Management Authority is hosting an artful preparations poster competition for promoting disaster preparedness disaster resilience and management.

Artful Preparations Poster Competition: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) celebrates its foundation day every year to underscore its commitment to various disaster management. It captures attention, engages viewers, and encourages citizens to become agents of change by embracing preparedness as an essential part of daily life.

NDMA in collaboration with MyGov India is hosting a Poster Competition for Promoting Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Resilience and Management with an aim to raise awareness, educate the citizens, fostering a culture of resilience and empower individuals and communities to take proactive steps in reducing the impact of disasters and building a more resilient society.

The themes for the poster competition are as follows:

  1. Flood Awareness
  2. Earthquake Safety
  3. Lightning-safe shelter for animals
  4. How to ensure the safety of animals during lightning?
  5. Lightning early warning and early action
  6. Lightning-safe school and house
  7. Lighting safe Farmer
  8. Do’s and Don’ts for lightning safety

Important dates:

  • Start Date: August 19, 2023
  • Last Date: September 19, 2023 (23:45 PM)

Gratification for Artful Preparations Poster Competition:

  • 1st prize: Rs 5000/-
  • 2nd prize: Rs 3000/-
  • 3rd prize: Rs 2000/-

Terms and Condition:

  • The competition is open to all Indian citizens.
  • The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
  • The participants in this online Poster Making Competition may use A3 or A4 sheets for the Poster.
  • Participants should upload the poster in JPEG / PNG / SVG format only.
  • The entries could be digital submissions, hand-drawn sketches, paintings with any medium, and illustrations.
  • Once submitted for the competition, copyrights will solely be with the NDMA.
  • Entry must be submitted in a high-resolution photo in downloadable PDF format only.
  • The entry must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual rights of any third party the NDMA, and MyGov do not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
  • The winning entries may be used by the NDMA, for promotional and display purposes, IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials and for any other use as may be deemed appropriate.
  • The poster should be original and must not infringe on the Intellectual Property Rights of any third party.
  • The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in an editable and open file format.
  • MyGov reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest and/ or Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or the cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform.
  • The participant should make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since this will be used for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
  • One participant can participate only once, i.e., only one entry would be entertained from one person. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be considered and will be discarded.
  • All the entries received by MyGov would be assessed by a committee of judges for selecting the entries/posters. The decision of the Committee shall be final and binding.
  • Entries would be judged based on elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, and visual impact and how well they communicate the elements that need to be reflected.
  • Any dispute or any issue related to this competition would be decided by NDMA which will be final and binding.
