This Bengaluru woman rider gets Rs 1.36 lakh fine, Know why

Bengaluru: This Bengaluru woman was fined a hefty amount of Rs 1.36 lakh for repeatedly flouting traffic regulations for a total of 270 times.

The TOI reported that TV9 Kannada shared the images from the CCTV footage on its YouTube channel. The woman was seen riding the scooter without helmet, sometimes with pillion, speaking on phone, riding on the wrong side of the road and even jumping the signals.

These violations were captured by CCTV’s installed across the usual route in and around COX town in Banaswadi within Bengaluru, as reported by TOI.

Later, the police tracked the offender and confiscated her vehicle involved in the traffic violations and handed over a fine of Rs 1,36 lakh to her.

Last year, the Jayanagar traffic police confiscated a scooter due to traffic violations for 255 times. They handed over a fine of Rs 1.3 lakh to him, the person paid the fine of Rs 10,000 on the spot and left the outstanding amount.
