Senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary becomes chief of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has appointed senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary as the director general.

New Delhi: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has appointed senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary as the director general, a Personnel Ministry order said.

Daljit Singh Chaudhary, a 1990 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre is currently working as Special Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

As per the order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment as the DG, SSB for a period up to November 30, 2025.

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) guards India’s frontiers with Nepal and Bhutan.
