Maharashtra: Man shares confidential info about Indian Govt with Pakistani agency, held

Mumbai: In Maharashtra Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested a man for sharing confidential information about Indian Government with a Pakistani agency. He was in touch with the Pak agency through WhatsApp and Facebook. News Agency ANI reported the matter in a X post (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as 23 year old Gaurav Patil. He used to work in the Naval Dock (Civil apprentice).

As per reports, Maharashtra ATS on Wednesday arrested the accused on charges of collating confidential information about the Indian Government with a Pakistani agency.

Reportedly, the accused was in touch with the agent of a Pakistan-based Intelligence Operative (PIO) through WhatsApp and Facebook.

A case has been registered by ATS in this connection. Reportedly, the case has been lodged against a total of 4 people. While Gaurav was sharing the confidential information the other three accused persons were in contact with Gaurav Patil, ATS said in a statement, reported ANI.
