Live-in partner attacked with screwdriver for refusing sex, man arrested

A man was arrested by Gurugram police for allegedly attacking his live-in partner with a screwdriver for refusing to have sex with him

Gurugram: A man was arrested by Gurugram police on Friday for allegedly attacking his live-in partner with a screwdriver and leaving her badly injured for refusing to have sex with him.

The incident took place in Gurugram area of Haryana.

The accused, identified as Shivam Kumar, is a resident of Uttar-Pradesh. He was arrested by the police from Rajiv Chowk area of Gurugram. Later, the police registered an FIR.

The complainant also a native of UP, alleged that Shivam forced her to have physical relations with him on Thursday. When she refused, he allegedly struck her on the neck with a screwdriver and fled from the scene.

The complainant wrote in the complaint that she used to live with her husband in a rented house in Gurugram, where she met Shivam Kumar, a resident of Kannuj. Soon after we began our live-in relationship, Shivam had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage. Recently, she came to know that Shivam was married.

The complainant added her neighbours rushed her to the hospital.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered and a team led by sub-inspector Sandeep Kumar, in-charge of Naharpur police chowki, arrested the accused from Rajiv chowk and questioning him.
