The warden of a hostel was suspended after a class 9 girl student gave birth to a baby at a hospital in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur.
Bengaluru: The warden of a hostel was suspended after a class 9 student gave birth to a baby at a hospital in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur.
According to reports, the girl has enrolled with the social welfare department’s hostel and had irregular attendance. Reportedly, she used to pay frequent visit to a relative.
The girl underwent a medical check-up in August 2023, however her pregnancy was not revealed and went unnoticed. As per reports, the girl had a connection with a Class 10 boy. Both the students attended the same school.
Following the incident, police have registered a Posco case and initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the matter are awaited.
