Tork Kratos electric motorcycle launched in India; Check price, booking details and availability

The electric bike sector in India is increasing day by day and many manufacturers are slowly moving into the segment. Indigenous electric bike manufacturer Tork Motors has recently launched its new bike- Tork Kratos in India. The Tork Kratos will be available in two variants- Kratos and Kratos R and can be booked at just Rs 999 on the company’s official website.

Battery and power

Tork Kratos electric bike is powered by a 4 Kwh lithium-ion battery pack that generates a voltage of 48V. The electric bike gets a 7.5 kW electric motor that generates 10 bhp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. This motorcycle can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in a matter of just 4 seconds. The top speed that can be achieved on the electric bike is 100 kmph. Even though the battery pack promises a range of 180 km (IDC), the true range that can be achieved on a single charge is around 120 km.

On the other hand, the Tork Kratos R gets a 9.0 Kw electric motor that generates 12 bhp of maximum power and 38 Nm of peak torque. The top speed that can be achieved on the electric bike is 105 kmph. The 0-40 acceleration on the bike remains the same on both bikes.

The battery of the Tork Kratos is an IP67-rated and can withstand day to day splashes of rain as well as dust. The Tork Kratos is equipped with a fast charging system which can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in 1 hour. However, the fast charging feature is only available on the Kratos R. Normally, the motorcycle can be charged in a time period of 4-5 hours.

Electronics

The Tork Kratos gets connectivity features like Geofencing, Find My Vehicle feature, Track Mode Analysis, Motorwalk Assist, Vacation Mode, Crash Alert, as well as Smart Charge Analysis. The bike gets a Tork Intuitive Response Operating System that is developed by the company itself. It records the data about every ride. The bike gets a 4.3-inch TFT screen that offers features like anti-theft, cloud connectivity, power management etc.

Colour Options
The Tork Kratos is available in a single colour option- white. The hi-spec Tork Kratos R gets a bunch of attractive colours like white, blue, red and black.

Price

The Tork Kratos gets a launch price of Rs 1.08 lakh while the Tork Kratos R is priced at Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom P). The booking of both the bikes can be made by paying just Rs 999.

Availability

The Tork Kratos EV will be initially available in India in major Indian cities like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi. However, in a second phase it will be launched in other major cities across India. The deliveries are supposed to take place in April 2022.
