Sensex climbs over 200 points, Nifty above 19,750
The S&P BSE Sensex opened above 65,860, while the Nifty50 gained 0.39% to trade above 19,750 level on Tuesday.
New Delhi: The benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 were trading in positive territory on Tuesday. The S&P BSE Sensex opened above 65,860, while the Nifty50 gained 0.39% to trade above 19,750 level.
Later, the NSE Nifty 50 rose 76.90 points or 0.39% to settle at 19,770.90, while the BSE Sensex climbed over 200 points to trade above 65,900 mark. The broader indices largely opened in positive territory, while the Bank Nifty index was up 206.00 points or 0.47% to settle at 43,790.95. Nifty Metal index gains more than 1%.
The top gainers on NSE Nifty 50 index were Adani Enterprises, Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Adani Ports and Tata Steel.
