Stock market today: Sensex falls 100 points, Nifty below 19,750
The BSE Sensex fell 116.01 points or 0.18% to trade at 65,678.72, and the Nifty was down 21.50 points or 0.11% at 19,710.30 in early trade.
New Delhi: The domestic equity indices opened lower on Monday. The BSE Sensex fell 116.01 points or 0.18% to trade at 65,678.72, and the Nifty was down 21.50 points or 0.11% at 19,710.30 in the early trade.
At 10:10am, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 133 points or 0.2 percent to 65,661 levels.
Among sectors, IT, metal, pharma up 0.5 percent each, while selling is seen in the auto, and capital goods.
Divis Labs, LTIMindtree, HCL Technologies, Coal India, Tech Mahindra are among the top gainers on the Nifty. The top losers are M&M, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, UltraTech Cement and SBI Life Insurance.
