SUV launches in 2024: New models include Thar 5-door model and Tata Curvv

Various automobile manufacturers are preparing to launch new models of SUV this year. The manufacturers include Mahindra, Tata, Hyundai and many more. We have mentioned some anticipated SUV models that are expected to hit the market in 2024.

Mahindra Thar 5-door

The 5-door Mahindra Thar is expected to be comfier and more spacious than the regular Thar. The SUV will be offering a similar ladder frame chassis as the Scorpio N. When it comes to design, the fog lamps are integrated in the bumper design and the top trims of the SUV get all LED lights. When it comes to wheels, there is an option for 19-inch diamond cut alloys.

Thar 5-door model is expected to offer a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine that offers 200bhp power and 370Nm torque. Similarly, the other engine that might be offered will be the 2.2-litre diesel engine and it will offer 172bhp power and 370Nm of torque. We are expected to get manual as well automatic option in these engines. When it comes to price, the Mahindra Thar 5-door model is expected to be priced from Rs 15 lakh. The top variant might go above Rs 20 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).

Tata Curvv

Tata Motors has displayed the Tata Curvv at the Bharat mobility Expo 2024 and the launch is expected to be in first half of 2024. The ICE model of the Curvv will be available in both petrol as well as diesel. The diesel engine will be the same as that of the Nexon’s 1.5-litre diesel. When it comes to petrol variant, we will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 125hp of power and 225Nm of torque.

In terms of dimensions, the Tata Curvv is 4,308mm in length, 1810mm width and 1630mm in height. The boot space of the SUV will be 422 litres.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift

Post the facelift of the XUV400 EV, Mahindra is stressing to update the XUV300 in India. Reports have suggested that the production ready version is quite ready. The XUV300 can be seen to sport some decent updates on the exterior and the same is expected on the interior too. The SUV gets an angular nose along with redesigned LED DRLs, revised bumper along with headlamp assembly. There is also a two-part grille along with a larger central air intake. We will get 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine options with 6 speed manual and automated manual transmission option.

Hyundai Creta N Line

The Creta N Line will get sportier suspension setup along with sportier exhaust, different alloy wheel design, all-black interior, N Line badging, faux-brushed aluminum bits and much more. The model will have some similarity with the rest of the N-Line variants of offered in India. Hyundai Creta N Line is expected to offer a new 1.5-litre engine that will be paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Currently, the company offers N-Line variants in Venue and i20.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift

Hyundai has already facelifted the Creta and the company might be looking forward to do the same for the same with Alcazar. Among the new update we are expected to get front grille, refreshed LED lights, new alloy wheels, bumpers and much more.
