Puri: The body of a two-month-old baby girl was recovered by Kumbharpada police from the toilet of the bus stand in Odisha’s Puri on Tuesday.
According to sources, the locals discovered the baby lying in the toilet. They immediately informed police about the incident.
On being informed, Kumbharpada police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, whom the baby belonged to is not ascertained yet.
The cops have registered an unnatural death case in this connection and initiated a detailed probe into the matter.

In a similar instance earlier, the dead body of a newborn baby girl was found lying on the road on Odisha’s Balangir district. The incident occurred in Malpada area of the Balangir city. On being informed, the town police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
