MG Comet gets cheaper by Rs 1.40 lakh in India; Price starts at Rs 6.99 lakh

MG Motor India has reduced the prices of its entire range of vehicles including the Comet EV in India as part of the 100 years celebration of its foundation. The MG Comet EV has become cheaper by Rs. 1.40 lakh. With this significant discount, the starting price of the EV has dropped to Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MG Comet EV is available in three trims and multiple colour options. You can buy the Pace, Play, and Plush trim of Comet EV. With the new price cut, the starting price of the entry-level Pace variant is down by Rs. 1 lakh, while the other two variants can be bought for Rs 1.40 lakh less.

The price of the MG Comet EV pace is Rs 6.99 lakh, and the Play variant cost is Rs 7.88 lakh, while the Plus trim of the EV has a price tag of Rs 8.58 lakh. All the prices mentioned are ex-showroom prices.

MG Motors offers the Comet EV with a 17.3kWh battery unit. The company claims the battery can be fully charged in seven hours. This battery pack powers the single motor which is tuned to produce 41bhp and 110Nm of torque with a claimed driving range of 230km on a single charge. But in a real-world driving test it delivered a range of 191km.
