Maruti Suzuki Fronx fuel efficiency figures revealed

Maruti Suzuki had revealed the fuel efficiency figures of the Fronx coupe SUV, which was unveiled at Auto Expo 2023 in January. The company has revealed many details about the coupe SUV previously. Now, we got to know its fuel economy numbers.

Maruti Fronx fuel efficient 

Maruti Suzuki Fronx will come with two engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated DualJet petrol engine, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet unit. The 1.2 NA engine produces 90hp and 113Nm. It will be offered in a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic.

The 1.2 NA engine is offered on the first three trims – Sigma, Delta and Delta+. The automatic gearbox will only be available on the Delta and Delta+ trims, while the manual gearbox is standard on all three trims of Fronx.

The Fronx with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 21.79kpl for the manual variant and 22.89kpl for the AMT.

On the other had, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet unit delivers 100hp and 147.6Nm. The motor will be offered on the Delta+, Zeta and Alpha trims, and while the manual gearbox is standard on all trims. The top-spec Zeta and Alpha trims is available with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

With the more powerful engine, the Fronx does 21.5kpl with the manual gearbox and 20.01kpl with the automatic.

Maruti Fronx SUV coupe: launch details

The Fronx will be a premium compact SUV and will go on sale in the coming weeks. Like the Baleno, it will be retailed via the Nexa outlets. After its launch, it will take on high-riding hatchbacks and compact SUVs like the Citroen C3, Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
