Mahindra launches XUV400 Pro in India, Prices start at Rs 15.49 lakh
The Mahindra XUV400 Pro EV gets an upgrade in the terms of features and is offered in two different variants- EC Pro and EL Pro.
Indian car manufacturer Mahindra has launched the XUV400 Pro EV in India. The electric car is an upgrade over the existing XUV400 and the introductory prices of the EV starts at Rs 15.49 lakh. Mahindra has launched the XUV400 Pro in order to compete with the likes of Nexon EV (which has recently received an upgrade). The EV gets an upgrade in the terms of features and is offered in two different variants- EC Pro and EL Pro.
The cabin of the new XUV400 pro gets a new Black and Grey treatment along with redesigned dashboard. We get features like the all-digital instrument cluster, floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Type-C USB port, rear mobile holder, refreshed steering wheel as well as AdrenoX connected car tech.
When it comes to the mechanical aspect of the EV, we do not get any difference (when compared to the XUV400). There are options for two battery packs- 34.5kWh battery pack and larger 39.4kWh battery. However, the EC Pro variant (base variant) is only available in 34.5kWh battery pack. The EL Pro variant however gets the option to choose between multiple battery options. In terms of charger, the EC Pro gets a 3.3kW AC charger as standard. However, the EL Pro variant gets a faster 7.2kW AC charger for both battery options.
In terms of range, the 34.5kWh battery pack offers a range of 375km while the larger 39.4kWh battery offers a range of 456km. The XUV400 Pro is available in three drive modes and also gets regenerative braking. On the other hand, the SUV gets disc brakes on all the wheels. In terms of acceleration, the EV can manage 0-100 in a matter of 8.3 seconds.
The booking of the EV has already started from January 12 while the deliveries will commence from February 1. The introductory prices will be applicable to the vehicles till May 31 of this year. Mahindra hopes to boost the sales of XUV400 with this feature update.
