BMW Motorrad teases the launch of its new bike in India, to be based on Apache RR310
BMW Motorrad India has teased the launch of its new bike on its official social media handles. The new bike by BMW Motorrad is expected to be based on TVS Apache RR 310 which is already available in India. The new teaser shows the similarity between the TVS Apache RR310 and the new BMW bike. The new BMW bike will be launched on July 15, 2022.
The bike teased by BMW Motorrad India is expected to be the new BMW G 310 RR. Even though the front of the bike was not visible in the teaser, we can expect it to have Bi-LED projector headlights and LED indicators just like the Apache RR310.
When it comes to the engine, the bike is expected to have the same 312.2cc FI engine with 6-speed gearbox. The single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will offer 34hp power at 9700rpm. The peak torque will be 27.3Nm at 7700rpm. The chassis of the bike is expected to be a trellis frame while retaining the same subframe. The suspension of the bike is expected to have a USD fork and mono-shock just like the Apache RR310. However, the bike might get an adjustable mono-shock and fully adjustable USD fork just like the RR310 BTO (Built to Order). The brakes of the new G 310 R are expected to be identical to that of the RR310.

When it comes to features of the new bike, the BMW G 310 RR will offer Bluetooth connectivity with TFT display. Various modes on the bike will include Rain, Urban, Sport and Track. The various riding modes on the bike will allow it to alter the performance according to the situation of the rider.
In terms of pricing, the new BMW bike is expected to be costlier than the current BMW G 310 R. The G 310 RR will be costlier than the TVS Apache RR310 on which it will be based on. The BMW G 310 RR is expected to be priced around Rs 3 lakh when it launches in India.
