Aprilia RS440 teased ahead of official launch in India on September 7

Aprilia has teased its upcoming sports bike, which is expected to be Aprilia RS440, for the Indian market. The new middleweight model has been scheduled to be launched on September 7, 2023.

Ahead of the official launch, the Aprilia RS440 has been spotted testing in India.

Features

The spy shits of the test mule suggest that it would likely borrow design cues from the RS660. It might come with a similar fairing and dual headlamps as the RS660. The other specifications that have been suggested the RS440 could get are a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, ride-by-wire and traction control feature.

Powertrain

The RS440 will be powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin 440cc engine, which will likely be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motor could produce around 48 BHP.

The suspension duties of the bike will be carried by an upside-down fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The brake setup will consist of discs at both ends and dual-channel ABS.

Upon it’s launch, the Aprilia RS440 will rival the likes of the KTM RC 390, Yamaha YZF-R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the Indian market.
