2024 Honda CBR400R unveiled with bunch of updates; Check what’s new on it

Honda CBR400R has been unveiled in Japan and the updated motorcycle has received a bunch of upgrades as compared to its predecessor. The motorcycle offers a mix of style, connectivity as well as performance. The motorcycle will be officially launching in the Japanese market on March 21 and is an entry-level sports bike.

The 2024 CBR400R is powered by a 399cc parallel-twin engine that generates 45.4 bhp of maximum power and 38 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that offers a slip-and-assist clutch. When it comes to mileage, the motorcycle offers a mileage of 28.1kmpl. There has been an addition of traction control on the motorcycle. This enhances safety on low-traction surfaces.

When it comes to design upgrade, we get minor design tweaks in the headlamp, winglets similar to that of CBR1000RR-R along with  5-inch Bluetooth enabled TFT instrument console. The Honda RoadSync app enables riding experience by offering smartphone connectivity for calls and music, turn-by-turn navigation etc. In terms of colour options, we get the motorcycle in two striking colours- red with white and blue graphics and matte black option. The riding position of the bike is not that aggressive.

The motorcycle is limited to the Japanese market only and we are not sure whether it will be landing in the Indian market. It is priced at 863,500 yen (approx. Rs 4.77 lakh). We assume that the company does not have immediate plans to launch it in India. If launched in India, it will be available at the Honda BigWing dealerships and will rival the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, Yamaha YZF-R3, and the Aprilia RS 457.
