Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles to launch 4 bikes in India soon

Brixton motorcycles, one of the leading importers of two-wheelers in Europe, has announced to make its arrival in the Indian market soon. The Austria-based bike maker has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd to set up a Research and Development (R&D) centre in India.

The company has announced that it will launch four models in the country that’ll be made at Brixton’s design hub in Austria and will be manufactured at a facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The company has also added that India will also serve as an export for Southeast Asia and Africa in the future.

Who is Brixton?

Brixton Motorcycles is essentially an Austrian bikemaker that’s owned by the KSR group, which in turn is one of the leading importers of two-wheelers in Europe. .

But It’s still not clear whether the bikes will be entirely made in India or if they’ll arrive as Complete Knock Down (CKD) kits to be put together locally.

Brixton Motorcycles is looking to build an expansive dealer network across major Indian cities. The company plans to launch 15 dealerships by end-2024 and expand its network to 50 by next year.

Brixton is gearing up to showcase its upcoming ADV motorcycle later this year, which could be the brand’s first offering for the Indian market. The company will initiate a marketing campaign ahead of the brand launch scheduled for later this year.

Expected Brixton bikes launch

As of now, Brixton has a total of 14 bikes with four different capacities: 125cc (7 bikes), 250cc (2 bikes), 500cc (3 bikes) and 1200cc (2 bikes). Of these, the brand has revealed its plan to kick off with four models in India and while the specific ones haven’t been confirmed yet, we think it’ll be the 250s and 500s that’ll first come to India. The upcoming bikes are Brixton Felsberg 250, Brixton Cromwell 250, Brixton Crossfire 500, and Brixton Crossfire 500 XC.

Brixton bikes: Expected price in India

Brixton will likely launch the four bikes during the festive season of 2024 (October or November). And as for the prices, here’s what we think they’ll be:
Brixton Felsberg 250 might cost Rs 1.70 lakh, Brixton Cromwell 250 is expected to cost Rs 2.40 lakh while the Brixton Crossfire 500 and Crossfire 500 XC are likely to range starting Rs 4 lakh, and Rs 4.5 lakh, respectively.
