Jajpur: In the matter of electoral violence during the phase I and II of panchayat polls 9 more accused persons were arrested in Jajpur district of Odisha. Out of these 9 accused persons, Dharmasala Police arrested 3 persons while Jajpur Sadar Police and Mangalapur Police arrested 3 each.
As per reports, the special teams of the Jajpur District Police conducted a series of raids and arrested these accused persons.
It is to be noted that after this 9, in total 28 people have been arrested and forwarded to Court for poll violence during phase I and phase II of the Odisha panchayat polls, informed Jajpur SP Rahul PR.
Yesterday, five persons had been arrested and forwarded to Court in the matter of electoral violence in Kakudikuda block in Jajpur district of Odisha during the first phase panchayat polls.
