London: In a tragic incident, a 16 year old girl died after taking contraceptive pills to reduce her period pain. The exact reason behind her death was clot in her brain, reliable reports confirmed.

The 16 year old girl has been identified as Layla Khan. Her family members state that it was Khan’s friend who advised her to take oral contraceptive pills in order to get relief from period pain. Reports from reliable sources claim that Layla started taking the oral contraceptive pills on November 25.

However, by December 5, she started complaining about having headaches. Towards the end of first week of December, she began vomiting continuously.

Jenna Braithwaite, Khan’s aunt said that the doctors prescribed Layla was tablets and medicines for sickness, dismissing her case as an issue of upset stomach. However, Layla did not seem to get any relief. Reportedly, Jenna further recalled that Layla complained of severe pain in her entire body before she collapsed on the floor.

While Layla Khan was getting carried in a car by her aunt and mother, she stopped giving any response. Upon medical examination, a clot in Layla’s brain was found. She was immediately rushed to another medical where she underwent another surgery. A day after, she was declared brain dead.

The girl who died after taking contraceptive pills, Layla Khan, had just began going to college, and was only three months into the semester.
