Upcoming Google Pixel 8 series gets an upper hand in its display over its predecessor

According to a leak by Android Authority we get an insight into the display of the upcoming series of Google Pixel.

The Google Pixel 8 series will be launched in the Q4 of 2023 (most preferably in October 2023). According to a leak by Android Authority we get an insight into the display of the upcoming series of Google Pixel. The Google Pixel 8 series’ display is expected to be superior to the Pixel 7 series in terms of refresh rate as well as brightness. Android Authority had earlier leaked the camera specifications of the Pixel 8 series.

The Pixel 8 Pro as well as the Pixel 8 gets flat displays and the corners of both the devices (display) are rounded. There has a minor reduction in the display size of the smartphones. It is important to mention that the Pixel 7 Pro offered a curved display. The brightness of both the Pixel 8 smartphones has increased as compared to its predecessors.

The Pixel 8 Pro is offered with a 6.70” display with a 1344×2992 resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The pixel-per-inch (PPI) density is 490 while the maximum brightness is 1600 nits. If we compare with the Pixel 7 Pro, it offers 6.71” display with 1440×3120 resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The pixel-per-inch (PPI) density is 512 while the maximum brightness is 1000 nits.

Speaking about the Pixel 8, it is offered with a 6.17” display with a 1080×2400 resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The pixel-per-inch (PPI) density is 427 while the maximum brightness is 1400 nits. If we compare with the Pixel 7, it offers 6.31” display with 1080×2400 resolution with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The pixel-per-inch (PPI) density is 417 while the maximum brightness is 1000 nits.

When it comes to the refresh rate there has been an enhancement in the adjustment. Both the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 pro get 120 Hz display. The Pixel 7’s refresh rate is limited to 90Hz. The Pixel 8 Pro offers smooth change in refresh rate between 60 and 120Hz which is unlike the previous generations. A better refresh rate in the display will offer better output in terms of gaming as well as watching videos.
