Samsung Galaxy XCover7 rugged smartphone with removable battery launched in India: Know price, specs

Samsung XCover7 rugged smartphone has been launched in India on Tuesday. The phone with a removable battery made its debut in global markets last month. The latest rugged smartphone from Samsung offers military-grade durability, 5G connectivity, and the latest software experience.

The highlight of the rugged smartphone is its military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) certification, IP68 rated for water and dust resistance along with a 50-megapixel single back camera and a 4,050mAh battery.

The smartphone’s frame is built to withstand drops and enhance shock absorption. Moreover, the display is protected by fortified glass. It is claimed to withstand up to 1.5-meter drop and submersion in fresh water up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 comes with an unnamed octa-core processor. It packs up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage that can be expanded further up to 1 TB capacity with a microSD card slot.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch FHD+ resolution screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. The display has enhanced touch sensitivity, that can even register touch input from a leather glove.

The cameras present in the phone are a 50 MP primary camera, a 5 MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by a 4,500 mAh removable battery with a USB-C port and pogo pins to connect an external battery pack for charging.

The device has a physical SIM card slot and also supports eSIM.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 price in India, availability

The handset is available in Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition in the country that are priced at Rs. 27,208 and Rs. 27,530, respectively. It is offered in a sole 6GB RAM 128GB storage version. Corporates and institutional users can buy the handset from Samsung India’s official website and the online EPP portal.

The Standard Edition comes with a warranty of one year, while the Enterprise Edition has a two-year warranty. Moreover, Samsung is providing a 12-month Knox Suite subscription with the Galaxy XCover 7 Enterprise Edition.

Meanwhile, the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 devices seem to be facing connectivity issues with Android Auto. Its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S23 also faced the same issues. Samsung’s support page for UK has also addressed the issue and mentioned that Galaxy S24 owners might have issues with Android Auto on some cars from specific manufacturers.
