OnePlus 12R receives first software update after launch; Offers camera upgrade

The OnePlus 12R has received its first software upgrade in the form of Oxygen OS v14.0.0.307 (EX01). The update is currently rolling in India and is 400MB in size. Some of the important areas which the update deals with are camera, network and connectivity bugs. The OnePlus 12 also gets its first software update and is 6.48GB in size. The OnePlus 12R made its debut along with OnePlus 12 in December 2023 in China and in January 2024 in India.

The official changelog shows that the Oxygen OS v14.0.0.307 (EX01) update offers upgrade under the following heads.

System: The update offers improved stability and performance in system. It also optimizes power consumption of the device for better battery backup.

Connectivity: There is an improved stability when it comes to Bluetooth connections. The network stability and compatibility also increase on the device.

Camera: When it comes to camera upgrade, the latest upgrade offers improved photography under indoor conditions. The camera performance and stability are also improved for better experience.

OnePlus 12R offers a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED screen. The screen offers 1.5K or 1264×2780 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that is paired with up to 16GB of RAM (LPDDR5x). When it comes to camera setup, there is a triple rear camera setup and comprises of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor. The other two cameras are 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. At the front, the device gets a punch-hole camera which is of 16-megapixel. In terms of storage, the device offers up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A massive 5,000mAh battery powers the device and supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging.
