Honor and Porsche Design join hands, first product to be launched in January 2024
Honor and Porsche Design have announced their global partnership. Their first model together is likely to be launched in January 2024.
On December 14, Honor and Porsche design announced their global partnership in a first. The brands will now work together to develop premium design and innovative smartphones. The flagship model of this collaboration is likely to be launched in China in January 2024. The Chinese smartphone is yet to give details of the model. However, there lies a possibility of the upcoming Honor Magic 6 series being the first product of the collaboration.
Through a social media post, the Chinese smartphone revealed about the collaboration with the luxury lifestyle brand. The post was shared on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. The post showed the logos of both the brands along with a tagline that read “Born for Pioneers.”
In an official statement, Honor CEP George Zhao called it an honor to collaborate with a brand as esteemed as Porsche Design. He even said that this joint venture can lead to the making of premium segment of smart devices with exceptional design and quality performance.
He further added that the motto of both the brands will give rise to the growth of both the companies and also open big new opportunities around the world. Notably, Honor develops devices that are mostly human-centric. Porsche Design, on the other hand, believes in creating intelligent luxury products to improve the smart phone lifestyle of users.
Huawei, the former parent company of Honor, has previously worked with Porsche design. Together, they had designed the Huawei Mate 40 RS and Mate 50 RS. The Honor Magic 6 series might be the first production of this collaboration between Porsche and Honor.
Talking about the smartphone series, Honor Magic 6 lineup is likely to run on Snapdragon Gen 3 SoC along with AI integration. The smartphones are also likely to have advanced satellite communication features. The model will potentially come with a 160-megapixel periscope zoom camera.
