Asus ZenFone 8 Series To Be Launched On May 12; Snapdragon 888 SoC Tipped
Taiwanese tech giant ASUS has recently announced that the the launch of the next-gen Zenfone 8 series smartphones is scheduled on May 12.
The Asus ZenFone 8 series is expected to include three smartphones that are ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 pro, and ZenFone 8 mini.
There were several leaks and rumours about the upcoming Zenfone 8 series that has surfaced online in the recent days. Earlier, the alleged GeekBench listing of Zenfone 8 Mini was leaked online.
Now, another ASUS phone with model number ASUS_I004D has been spotted on GeekBench and this device is said to be the Zenfone 8.
As per the GeekBench listing, the Zenfone 8 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset just like the Zenfone 8 Mini.
The listring also shows the presence of a 8GB of RAM. It could also have a 16GB RAM version as the Zenfone 8 Mini was listed with a 16GB RAM in GeekBench.

The phone is expected to run on the Android 11 OS out of the box.
All the Zenfone 8 series smartphones are tipped to feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC, AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolutions and the display will have a 120Hz refresh rate support.
The models will sport a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera that will team up with an unannounced Sony IMX663 module. The series phones will also have a battery that comes with 30W charging support.
