Soil mafias launch murderous attack on Parjang Tehsildar

Dhenkanal: A group of soil mafias launched a murderous attack on Parjang Tehsildar Subhra Patel during a raid to check illegal soil lifting this afternoon.
On being informed about lifting of soil from a government land at Patharakhumba village of the district, the Parjang Tehsildar rushed to the spot and protested the illegal activities. When he tried to take photos of the illegal activities, the soil mafias launched a murderous attack on him.
Parjang RI Alok Kumar Lenka along with the junior clerk reached the spot after hearing about the attack on the Tehsildar. However, they were also mishandled by the mafias.
Soon, the Tehsildar was rushed to the Kamakhyanagar Hospital for treatment. Parjang MLA Nrusingha Charan Sahu and Kamakhyanagar Sub Collector Jyoti Sankar Sahu reached the hospital and inquired about his health condition.
Meanwhile, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation after seizing a tractor. Efforts are on to identify the attackers and arrest them.
