Odisha Vigilance raid on GRS, search underway at her home

Kalahandi: Odisha vigilance raid on GRS (Gram Rozgar Sevak) today that is on Thursday said reliable reports a while ago.  The raid has been conducted on the GRS in Badkorlakot G.P under Jaypatna Block in Kalahandi district.

The GRS who is under the Odisha vigilance raid has been identified as Margret Panigrahy. She has been apprehended by the Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000/-

It is worth mentioning that she was taking the bribe from a Job Card Holder in order to prepare the the Muster Roll and ensure payment to him and other job card holders in connection with work done under MGNREG scheme in Kalahandi district.

The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from accused GRS Panigrahy and seized. Following the trap, house search is being conducted at one location of Panigrahy from the DA angle.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 36 Dt. 22.11.2023 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act,2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Panigrahy, GRS. Detailed reports awaited in this matter. Probe underway.
