Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik congratulates winner teams for winning bronze at Junior Kho Kho Nationals

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik congratulated the winner teams for bagging the bronze medals at 40th Junior Kho Kho National Championship 2021. The championship was hosted by the Odisha Kho Kho Association in Bhubaneswar from September 22 to September 26

Reportedly, the boys beat West Bengal team while the girls beat Karnataka team and won the bronze medal at the championship.

CM Patnaik took to his official twitter handle to congratulate the teams and wrote “Congratulations Odisha Boys & Girls KhoKho Teams on securing bronze medals at the 40th Junior KhoKho Nationals. Wish you all the best for the future. #OdishaForSports”

The 40th Junior National Kho Kho Championship 2021 was inaugurated at the Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium in Campus 13 of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology ( KIIT) in Bhubaneswar on September 22. About 53 teams constituting of 636 sports persons from different States participated in the Championship. Out of the teams, 28 boys’ team and 25 girls’ team participated.

The National Championship was also organised by the support from the Sports and Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha under the aegis of the Kho Kho Federation of India.

Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta was also thankful to the Sports Department for providing chance to organise the Championship.
