Balangir: An Odia Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan has been killed in Assam. The deceased jawan has been identified as Thabir Budek of Tustapali village under Santala police of Balangir district.
According to reports, the security personnel died as the vehicle in which he was travelling from Guwahati to Nikunj overturned after meeting with an accident.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on the entire Balangir district after the news of Thabir Budek’s death got spread.
Thabir Budek’s body would be brought to his native village tomorrow and will be cremated with full state honours, said sources.
The BSF Jawan is survived by his wife and two children, added the sources.
