Cuttack: In a shocking incident a man on Sunday killed his wife and then attempted to suicide in Sankhua village. The woman died while getting treated at the health centre of Adaspur.
The deceased woman has been identified as Kalpana Behera of Nuagan while her husband has been identified as Biswanath Behera of Taradapada area. The couple was living in Sankhua village along with their two sons.
As per reports, the man allegedly killed his wife and then attempted suicide. While it has been discussed that the incident took place due to family dispute the actual reason behind the crime is yet to be ascertained.
Following the incident the critical woman was rushed to Adaspur hospital where she succumbed to the injury. On the other hand as the health condition of the man was deteriorated, he has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
After getting information Govindpur Police reached the spot and initiated probe. Further investigation of the case is underway.
