First Batches Of Covishield Vaccines Against COVID-19 To Reach Odisha Today

Bhubaneswar: The much awaited COVID-19 vaccine, will reach Odisha today, as the first consignment of the vaccine was dispatched from Pune early this morning.

The Spicejet Airlines Pune to Bhubaneswar Flight No SG7466 carrying Covishield is likely to arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here around 4.30 PM.

The nationwide vaccination drive will commence from January 16.

Serum Institute of India (SII) has received a purchase order from the Government of India for 11 million doses of Covishield vaccine, which would be available at the price of Rs 200 per dose, SII officials had said on Monday.
