Fire was reported in the Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express train in Cuttack railway station on Thursday morning.

Cuttack: Fire was reported in the Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express in Cuttack railway station on Thursday morning. The fire was seen after smoke coming out of the brake shoe of the train.

After receiving information about it railway officials reached the spot and brought control over the blaze. However, the reason behind the flame is yet to be ascertained.

After the fire was brought under control, the train resumed its journey.

According to latest updates: 

Due to Brake-binding (brake not released from wheel), 12074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express detained at Cuttack Railway Station from 6.30 am. After releasing the brake from the wheel, the train departed from Cuttack at about 7.15 am. The cause of non-release of brake being investigated. There was no fire inside the coach.
