False Propaganda, Violence & Hooliganism Main Agendas Of BJP: Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: Kickstarting the campaign for the fourth phase elections in the state scheduled to be held on April 29, Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik today launched a fresh attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by saying that violence is the core principle of the saffron party.

Addressing a rally at Niali under Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha Constituency, Naveen said, “False propaganda, violence, and hooliganism are the chief agendas of BJP. The people of Odisha will give the party a befitting answer for fielding criminals in the ongoing elections.”

During the campaign, Naveen Patnaik emphasised on the various achievements of his party during the last 19 years. He said Odisha, which was devastated by the 1999 super cyclone, has now emerged as a ‘Model State’ in various realms of progress and development.

“Odisha was once importing rice for its people. But now, the state has become a surplus producer which is providing foodgrains to other states. From being written off as a ‘poor state’, Odisha is now leading the forefront in poverty alleviation at the national level. Are not these indicators of transformation?,” CM Naveen said.

Claiming that the BJP will perform abysmally in the ongoing elections, Naveen said he will continue to fight for the people of Odisha and their rights till his last breath.
