Jajpur: Body of an engineer was found hanging in his rented accommodation in Kalinga Nagar today.
The deceased has been identified as Sandip Dey of Jharkhand and was working as an engineer in Tata Steel.
Police said that Dey was staying at an apartment in Manpur area. “He was absent from his duty on Monday following which his colleagues went to his room which was locked from inside. They later informed the police and we broke open the door,” said a police official.
Police found the engineer of hanging from the ceiling fan with a rope. Police have started an investigation and have sent the body for post-mortem.
