ECoR Reaches Out To Schools & Colleges To Spread Vigilance Awareness

Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance Organisation of East Coast Railway is reaching out to various schools and colleges of the state to create awareness on ill-effects of corruption and to promote integrity and honesty among the students.

To eradicate corruption and dishonesty from the grass-root level of society, students play a vital role to create awareness. Therefore, ECoR has taken initiatives in organising Lecture-cum-Elocution at various Colleges in important cities of its jurisdiction.

Vigilance Awareness Week–2019 is being organised from October 28 to November 2 and various activities like debate competition, essay and slogan writing and painting completion are being organised amongst the students.

An interaction and elocution programme was organized at Cuttack College, Nayabazar where Santosh Kumar Patnaik, Principal of the College presided over the programme. Students of this college elaborated the need for promoting integrity for eradicating corruption and also emphasised on imbibing integrity and honesty in the early stage of life are its benefits in future.

A panel discussion and elocution programme was held in the Railway Settlement School, Cuttack where students were informed about ill-effects of corruption. Similarly, at Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering, Cuttack G.R.Ray, Principal of the institution along with other staff of college attended the programme where students presented their views on the subject.

Similar programmes have also been organised at JKBK College at Cuttack, Maharshi Women’s College in Bhubaneswar.
