‘Congress Bus’ to move in Odisha from January 21

Bhubaneswar: With the appointment of new in-charge of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Ajay Kumar, the State unity of the Congress party has geared up and started its preparation for the 2024 general elections.

As decided by the grand old party, the ‘Congress Bus’ will move in Odisha from January 21. The party leaders and MLAs are slated to visit all assembly constituencies of the State by the bus with the aim to build a close relationship with people.

Ajay Kumar visited Odisha for the first time after being appointed as the in-charge of OPCC. He attacked the state government in a press meet today. He said that bureaucratic government is running in the state. IAS, IPS should work under leaders. Here IAS and IPS are running the government. Ministers and MLAs have no respect in the state. The leaders, ministers and MLAs here have forgotten their ethics.

Ajay Kumar also claimed that the ED and CBI are raiding everywhere in the country, but not in Odisha. It is because BJP and BJD have relationships. Naveen-Modi is ruling in one, unified state. It has even been agreed to give 15 seats to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. For the remaining 6 seats, talks are going on between the BJD and the BJP. So Congress can be a good option in the state, he said.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has appointed parliamentary constituency-wise coordinators and has directed the newly-appointed coordinators to take charge. Coordinators for 21 Parliament constitutions in Odisha also have been appointed.
