Deogarh: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Card in a virtual mode in Deogarh district today. The event will take place at the local indoor stadium. Reportedly, 75,615 people will benefit from the health cards under BSKY.
Large-scale preparations have been made for the virtual launch of distribution of the health cards. As many as 28,069 beneficiaries in 24 panchayats of Barkot block, 27,175 beneficiaries in 26 panchayats of Riamal block, 19,862 beneficiaries in 20 panchayats of Tileibani block and 3,509 beneficiaries in Ward No 11 of Deogarh municipality area will be given the smart health cards.
Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, Deogarh MLA Subash Chandra Panigrahi, Sambalpur Lok Sabha MP Nitesh Ganga Dev, Health and Family Welfare Minister Nabs Kishore Das and Rural Development and Labour Minister Susanta Singh are scheduled to attend the virtual event of distribution of smart health cards.
A video of the BSKY scheme will be showed during the event and the foundation stone of various projects will be laid in the district, added reports. It is noteworthy to mention that, around 10 lakh beneficiaries in last 45 days.
It has been scheduled that by the month of November all the beneficiaries of all districts will be given the smart health cards in phases.
Earlier on September 22, Chief Minister distributed the smart health cards and dedicated various development projects in Titlagarh. He also laid the foundation stone for development of Harishankar Temple at Patnagarh. Prior to that, the smart health card had been launched in Malkangiri on August 20 and Sundergarh on September 14.
On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY.
