Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assistant Section Officer-ASO Selection Case has reached Supreme Court. The Supreme Court accepted the case for hearing.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the State government, OPSC and other parties. All the respondents have been directed to file their reply in the matter at the earliest.

The next hearing of the case will be held after four weeks, said reliable reports. Advocate Rajat Mishra filed a public interest litigation (PIL) case in the Supreme Court. 

The order of the High Court had been challenged in the Supreme Court. The High Court has made the merit list permanent on December 22 after announcing the verdict of the Assistant Section Officer ASO recruitment case conducted by OPSC.

The High Court clarified that there was no error in the selection process of the OPSC as the judgment of the single-member jury was dismissed at the division level.
