Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated the new track at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar for the upcoming Asian Athletics Championship to be held from July 5 till July 9.
The CM also unveiled the medals for winners of AAC 2017 along with Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera. Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani was also present at the occasion.
Mascot Olly (on foot) took the CM on a ride in a battery operated car around the stadium. CM Naveen Patnaik also felicitated Odia Athletes Dutee Chand, Srabani Nanda, Amiya Malik and Jauna Murmu and presented them cheques worth Rs 3 lakh each.
