Protest in Ramadevi University Bhubaneswar for shifting semester exams due to severe heatwave
Bhubaneswar: The has been a protest in Ramadevi University in Bhubaneswar said reports on Friday relating to shifting of semester exams. The students were seen sitting in protest outside the Ramadevi Women’s University gate with various slogans and placards.
Reports say that, the students are demanding the shifting of semester exams diue to the severe ongoing heat wave. The students are demanding to move the semester exams of the Plus III second (2nd)year 4th semester exams, said sources in this regard.
They have further claimed that, all the schools are closed since April 25 due to severe heatwaves but the University is holding exams instead of vacations. Due to severe heatwave, it is not possible to appear for the exam in the university.
It is worth mentioning here that yesterday, the students are sitting in protest outside the principal’s office, while today the students are sitting outside the main gate of the University. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from April 30 to May 18, said reliable reports.
