Who isn’t fascinated by the idea of Aliens existing in the Universe. Several pics of UFOs has often made round on the Internet. However, none of them has ever made people truly believe that Aliens have indeed visited Earth. Meanwhile, a 50-year-old photograph is going viral online, for being the ‘best photograph of a UFO’ ever taken.
The black and white photo, shared widely on Twitter and other media outlets, shows a saucer-like object over Costa Rica. According to the social media users, this is the best photograph of a UFO ever taken.
Reportedly, the picture was clicked by aerial photographer Sergio Loaiza in September, 1971. At that moment, he was flying over Costa Rica on his Aero Commander F680 aircraft for a mission to survey land for the construction of a hydroelectric project. The project was planned near the Arenal Volcano in the South American country.
The photographer took multiple high resolution photos using his automated 100lb camera. Apparently, he was 10,000 feet above the lake below that moment, and had to take 20-second intervals within each shot.
However, in one of his pictures, Sergio was successful in clicking the shiny metallic disc flying in the air.
As per the reports, the photo is the property of National Geographic Costa Rica, and has now been released by Esteban Carranza, a citizen of that area. The man has the original negative present in the National Archives of the country which he acquired from his uncle who obtained the copy from the National Geographic Institute.
Esteban took to his Twitter to post the picture along with a note that read, “I made this high res scan last year, met with people on the National Geographic Institute and tracked the technician in charge of the camera back in 1971. But there’s no reason for the image to sit on my desktop. Disclosure is a team effort and everyone should have this image.”
