People pay to get slapped by waitresses at a restaurant in Nagoya area of Japan. Though it is not believable, the information is true. The said service was reportedly initiated in 2021. And the practice also reportedly helped the restaurant to become popular.

This unusual service reportedly attracted both men and women, including Japanese locals and foreign tourists.

Interestingly, despite the seemingly unconventional nature of the service, reports suggest customers expressed feeling more relaxed and even thanked the waitresses after being slapped.

A video of the said bizarre service became viral after it was uploaded to X platform. X user Bangkok Lad posted the video recently on November 29 and within these few days the video has already garnered more than 37k views. The caption of the post reads, “This is Shachihokoya – a restaurant in Nagoya – where you can buy a menu item called ‘Nagoya Lady’s Slap’ for 300 yen.”

As per the caption the said slap service costs 300 yen. However, as per further information one can also choose a special service with a little bit costlier amount to the tune of 500 yen if he/she wants to get slapped by a specific waitress.

Reportedly, the service is available for both men and women.

However, as per another X post the slapping service has been stopped in that restaurant presently.

Reportedly, after the video of this service went viral, situation turned ugly and the restaurant authorities decided to discontinue this service.

The X post by user @shachihokoya said in the caption, “Shachihoko-ya currently does not offer slaps. We appreciate the attention it has received today, but we cannot accommodate visits with the intention of receiving slaps. We didn’t expect old videos to go viral like this, so please understand before comming.”
