Parking fees in Bangalore malls is Rs 1,000 per hour, photo goes viral

Apart from being an IT hub, Bengaluru is well known for its higher expenses. One can find everything a bit costlier in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, a photo of a Bengaluru mall charging Rs 1,000 per hour for parking is going viral over the internet. The image was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user Ishan Vaish on March 5.

The post has been accompanied with a caption that read, “Such things exist in India!! And this ain’t the airport.” After being shared online, the post has triggered a discussion about the escalating cost of living in Bengaluru. A section of the internet expressed their astonishment over the exorbitant parking charges.

The post have garnered lots of views and likes after being shared on social media. Reacting to the post, one person wrote, “Tell me about it! The prices keep skyrocketing. It’s becoming a bit ridiculous.” Meanwhile, another user commented, “What are we parking here? Private jet with complementary massage and food.”

A third person said, “Premium parking? You get a blue tick on your car.” While, another X user mentioned, “What do they offer in premium parking? Diamond facial.”

This is not the first time when Bengaluru’s high price has left internet stunned. Earlier, a user identified as Rajesh Bhattad took to his X handle and shared a screenshot of Uber charging Rs 2,000 for a trip from Kempegowda International Airport to the south-eastern suburb of Bengaluru. In the post, Bhattad also mentioned, “The Uber pricing past midnight from Bengaluru Airport to HSR.” He also thanked Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).

The screenshot showed that an Uber Go trip to his home would cost him Rs 1,931, while it was Rs 1,846 for Uber Go Sedan and Uber Premiere. Furthermore, the price increased to Rs 2,495 for an Uber XL.
