Groom shows up dressed as ‘Minnal Murali’ for wedding, Internet is amused

A groom in Kerala shocked everyone in the wedding as he showed up dressed as Minnal Murali, a desi superhero from a Malayalam movie, on his big day.

Amal Raveendran grabbed attention of not only the guests present in the wedding but also of all the social media users after his photos wedding photos surfaced online. In the pictures, he can be seen rocking his wedding in a superhero costume inspired by Minnal Murali. His bride, however, looked beautiful in a green saree and traditional gold jewelleries.

Mr Raveendran’s red and blue costume was inspired by Tovino Thomas’ character from the film. The pictures of the couple is going viral on the Internet.

According to reports, the 29-year-old groom revealed that his relatives were supportive of the idea of him dressing up as a superhero. In fact, they were excited to see him in the costume after the shoot. His cousins also planned to wear superhero costumes on the wedding day. However, due to Covid and related restrictions, they could not attend the wedding. Many people were curious about the wedding after watching the ‘save the date’ video, he said.

The ‘save the date’ video Raveendran was referring to also went viral earlier, wherein as well he could be seen dressed up as Minnal Murali.

Meanwhile, the bride, Anju KH, revealed that at first she was reluctant about the ‘save the date’ video but after seeing the positive response it received her doubts were put to the rest.

Due to the response, her confidence boosted and she became very enthusiastic during the post-wedding shoot, said Anju.

Netizens have been pouring compliments and congratulatory messages for the Kerala couple on their comments section. Some are even trying to bring the video to Tovino Thomas’s attention, to take note of the wedding photoshoot.
