Bizarre! Biological Parent Wants To Marry Own Adult Child, Seeks Court’s Approval

New York: Ever heard of a biological parent who wants to marry their own child? Well, it might sound bizarre, but it is true.

In a bid to overturn laws banning incestuous relationships, a parent from New York has reportedly filed a legal request to marry their own adult child and called it a case of “individual autonomy”.

The legal case was filed at the Manhattan Federal Court on April 1, 2021 requesting the court to declare the laws unconstitutional. The papers do not have much detail regarding the parent and their child, or their gender, ages, hometowns or the nature of their relationship.

According to a report, the parent seeks to remain anonymous because their request is “an action that a large segment of society views as morally, socially and biologically repugnant”.

The Parent and Adult Child Non-Procreationable filing said, “The proposed spouses are adults. The proposed spouses are biological parent and child. The proposed spouses are unable to procreate together”.

Meanwhile, incestuous marriage is prohibited in New York and is punishable which would lead spouses to face fines and sentenced up to six months jail term.
