The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued yellow warnings for dense fog for newt three days in Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued yellow warnings for dense fog for newt three days in Odisha.

According to the weather department, the dense fog likely to occur in different districts of the State till 8.3O AM of January 3.

Below is the details about the yellow warnings for fog:

Valid upto 8.3O AM of January 1, 2024:

  • Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Khurda.

Valid from 8.3O AM of January 1 to 8.3O AM of January 2:

  • Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Rayagada and Koraput.

Valid from 8.3O AM of January 2 to 8.3O AM of January 3:

  • Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.

Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued an advisory saying the police and transport officials of respective districts may take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident.
