Over 35 people were injured after the bus in which they were traveling for a picnic overturned at Taptapani ghati in Odisha’s Ganjam district this afternoon.
Berhampur: Over 35 people were injured after the bus in which they were traveling for a picnic overturned at Taptapani ghati in Odisha’s Ganjam district this afternoon.
According to sources, around 60 people from the Dasarathpur area in Jajpur district had gone to Jirang and Khasada tourist spots in Gajapati district in the bus, which bears the registration number OD 22 E 3999.
However, while they were returning from Jirang, the bus overturned as the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
Soon, the local police and fire personnel carried out a rescue operation with the help of the locals and rushed the injured persons to Digapahandi hospital for treatment.
