Yellow Warning for thunderstorms with lightning issued for several Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s regional office in Bhubaneswar today issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning for the next two days for several districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal and Gajapati till 8.30 AM tomorrow.

Likewise, the weatherman predicted thunderstorms with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganiam between 8.30 AM of April 10 to 8.30 AM of April 11. It has issued a yellow warning for the same.

Meanwhile, the following advisory has been issued to collectors of the concerned districts.

• Keep administrative machinery ready to face any eventuality.
• Rainfall may be reported immediately to this office.
• Submit a report on the damage, if occurred due to thunderstorm/ whirlwind, lightning immediately for information of the government.
